This class is taught by Forged in Fire alumnus Rich Greenwood.
Students meet twice a week for 2.5 hours per session on this 8-week entry-level course that focuses on bladesmithing basics and introduces students to the forging techniques they will need to create blades. Students learn about blade styles, steel types, heat-treatment and quenching, and shaping, filing, grinding and polishing steel — everything you need to create a finished blade.
Full course details and important information about clothing, safety, hydration etc. will be sent to students two weeks before the course.
