Monday and Wednesday, March 25 to May 15, 2019
6-8:30 p.m.
Course fee: $600
This class is taught by Forged in Fire alumnus Rich Greenwood.
Students meet twice a week for 2.5 hours per session on this 8-week intermediate course that focuses on smithing larger blades with hidden tangs and three-piece handle construction. Students should already have a good grasp of basic blade forging and finishing techniques, so Bladesmithing 100 or equivalent is a prerequisite for this class.
Although materials will be provided, students are welcome to bring their own knife steel and handle material. Blades will be forged in the class, so it is not necessary to bring a knife blank
Full course details and important information about clothing, safety, hydration etc. will be sent to students two weeks before the course.
