Welding for Beginners

Learn the basic procedures and techniques of gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Class includes safety and environmental practices, welding terminology, GMAW equipment, proper welding procedures, welding positions, five weld joints, joint preparation, welding equipment operation and welding techniques, shielding gases, and mild steel welding.

This class is designed for people with zero experience working with a welder, although some familiarity working with power tools like electric saws and angle grinders is recommended. After you have completed this course, you will have the knowledge and confidence to tackle any build, as well as the background you need to buy your own equipment.
