Wizarding Tools

Wizards! Dragons! Demons! All manner of fantastical beasts both real and imagined!

Learn how to make the tools you need to practice the age-old blacksmithing skill of sculpting red-hot metal into animal and human (and mythical) figures.

These decorative figures can be extremely ornate and are labor-intensive to produce. They require some very specialized hand-held tools, such as custom punches and chisels, to get the necessary level of detail.

Students will work with special tool steels and learn how to heat-treat, file and grind their tools.

Then everyone in the class will use their new tools to make a wizard bottle opener designed by the instructor.

Instructor: Steven Fisher

Friday: 5-9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Full class details and important information about clothing, safety, hydration etc. will be sent to students two weeks before the class.
